Original Acrylic "The Spitfire" Painting – Crystal Lake

Painted by an aspiring middle-school art student. My goal for "The Spitfire" is to bring its spirit onto canvas. The Spitfire was a British fighter plane introduced in WWII just in time to turn the tide against Germany in the Battle of Britain. It was known for its speed, tight turns, and rapid climbing rate.

I captured its features by painting "The Spitfire" as it flies through the air and clouds. Acrylic polymer emulsion paints give the plane a metallic look. An airbrush creates fluffy white clouds against the green ground.

The canvas measures 20x30.
